Originally founded in 1952 as the Abington Shoe Company in a tiny corner of New Hampshire, New England, USA, known for its majestic mountain ranges, rocky shorelines, dense forests, rivers, lakes and large east coast cities. In 1973 the original, waterproof, premium ‘’yellow’’ boots were invented. Rugged, well-crafted, made with an innovative injection moulding technique, Timberland set new standards for waterproof performance in the industry. Equally popular with outdoor enthusiasts and professional trade workers. So much so, the company changed name to Timberland. Hard work, innovation and a love of nature continue through to today. In 1999, the Timberland Pro series was launched, a range of high performance, protective footwear for trade professionals. Head of design since 2019 is British born Christopher Raeburn, whose philosophy is REMADE, REDUCED, RECYCLED product creation.
