Shoes For Crews
Shoes For Crews was founded in 1984 by Stanley Smith and Matt Smith. At the time they were producing a small collection of footwear for nurses out of their family apartment. They received a request for shoes that could provide grip on the slippery floors of a restaurant. The principle of grip became the backbone of their company as they partnered with a professor of rubber technology to create a range of slip-resistant footwear. Now sold across 40 countries worldwide, supplying workplaces with best in class slip-resistance. Shoes For Crews own their own outsole factory to ensure that slip-resistance remains at the forefront of their product range. Perhaps the name Stanley Smith meant that Shoes For Crews were destined to succeed in selling shoes. The Adidas ‘Stan Smith’ has sold more than 30 million pairs!
